Firm/Company Registration procedure in Montenegro
- Founder individual from abroad –
1. To register firm/company in Montenegro you need to* if founder is
individual(s) ,it is necessary to have passport and to come to Montenegro for a
1 day to sign and validate documentation.
2. Primarily, send us by e-mail all necessary info. for establishment
of firm/company, so we could
documentation in advance, then when you arrive to
Podgorica, all we have to do is review documents, sign and certify by Public
notary.
* e-mail us the following info.
1. Name of future firm (we will check if it’s available in Register)
2. information needed for founder(s): Name and Surname, address,
passport number
3. info. needed for executive director: Name and Surname, address,
passport number
-if director is from Mne, master data needed.
4. Residence of new firm can be on address of our Office, free of
charge
5. Predominant activity which will be firm deal (needed that firm has
one predominant activity, but will be
registered for all activities too, with which could deal equally like with
predominant activity.)
6. Initial capital - mprepare inimal initial capital is 1 euro. If you
want, you can pay a higher amount (initial capital), which you deposit in bank
previously, and then after registration and opening of an Account, bank will
transfer money to account of the firm/company.
3. By the information you send us, we will prepare documentation:
Decision (or Agreement), Statute, authorization for us, sign for the bank. All that we’d send you by e-mail.
4. After we assure the documents we prepared are right, we can organize
meeting for you to come to Podgorica for 1 day, to verify documents with
Notary. It’s necessary to come to Podgorica: founder, to sign and validate
Decision on the establishment, and director to sign and validate documents for
the bank. (That can be one person,too.)
5. Documents needed:
- FoundeWe would complete all when you come to r - passport
- Director - passport
6. Podgorica, organized like this:
- One hour, to review the documents
- One hour, to verify documents by Public notary
- One hour, to make Account agreement with the bank
- One hour, contact with accountancy service

In Montenegro there is 10 banks: Societe Generale (FR), Erste
(Cro),Crnogorska komercijalna banka (Madjarska), Komercijalna banka
(Srbija),NLB Montenegrobanka (Slo), Prva banka (Mne) …
You choose the bank where your business and currency account of
firm/company would be.
You can use Bank s electronic payment. That’s a bank s service, price
70 euro. per year.
If we prepare all necessary, we could finish that very simply and
quickly. After that, we waiting the registration process 7-10 days
7. Complete Registration contains:
- complete documentation of Registration (Decision (Agreement), Statute
and other forms)
- Registration of firm at Central Register Commercial Court, Podgorica
- tax identification number from Tax Administration (TIN)
- VAT from Tax Administration
- customs code from Customs Administration
- business and currency bank account
- Seal of firm
- Fees for Notary certification and Court fee
Service for complete registration is 450 eur.
Temporary residence:
for temporary residence (for a year), after Firm registration and Work
permit obtained, personally go to Ministry of Internal Affairs
to submit documents:
- registration of firm
- work permit
- copy of passport certified
- that person s insurance of Insurance company – to be paid 30 eur.
- a certificate from the bank that at bank account there is at least 3.650,00 eur.
- tax – 25 eur.
- Proof of address of residence in Mne
Personal presence of director or founder is necessary when submitting
documents in Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Residence permit will be approved in about 20 days.
Temporary residence is for a year, which later prolong.
Deadlines:
- it takes one day to come to Montenegro to sign documents about
firm/company.
- Complete registration procedure could be done in 7-10 days. So, we
can send it to you by Mail (Post).
